Offers a $500 to any student from any state who attends a governor's school.

Savannah College of Art & Design
The Artistic Honors Scholarship: A $3,000 per year scholarship is awarded by the college to a limited number of accepted students who have won first place in the Congressional Art Competition, have participated in selected Governor's Honors Programs, Governor's Schools, or other similar approved programs, or who have demonstrated outstanding artistic ability through portfolio presentation as judged by the Scholarship Review Committee.

Participants in the following Governor Schools/Programs may be eligible to receive this scholarship: Arkansas Governor's School; Georgia Governor's Honors Program; Kansas Regents Honors Academy; Kentucky Governor's School; Louisiana Governor's School; Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation; Missouri Scholars Academy; New Jersey Governor's School; New York Governor's School; North Carolina Governor's School; North Dakota Governor's School; North Dakota Governor's School in Science and Mathematics; Pennsylvania Governor's School; South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts; Tennessee Governor's School; Vermont Governor's Institute; Virginia Governor's School; West Virginia Governor's School; Wyoming: The Summer High School Institute

THE DAVIDSON INSTITUTE FOR TALENT DEVELOPMENT SEEKS EXTRAORDINARY ACHIEVERS TO RECEIVE $50,000, $25,000 AND $10,000 DAVIDSON FELLOWSHIPS

The Davidson Institute for Talent Development is offering high achieving young people across the country the opportunity to be named as 2006 Davidson Fellows.

Individuals named as Davidson Fellows receive a $50,000, $25,000 or $10,000 scholarship in recognition of their outstanding achievements in the areas of Science, Technology, Mathematics, Music, Literature, Philosophy or Outside the Box. Each submission must be an original piece of work recognized by experts in the field as "significant" and it must have the potential to make a positive contribution to society.

To be eligible, applicants must be under the age of 18 as of Oct. 1, 2006, and a U.S. citizen residing in the United States or a permanent U.S. resident. There is no minimum age for eligibility. The scholarship must be used at an accredited institute of learning.

The 2006 applications are posted at www.davidsonfellows.org. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2006. Every September, the Davidson Fellows are honored at a reception in Washington, D.C.

Each application is evaluated on its scope and quality, level of significance, and the applicant's depth of knowledge and understanding of the work and related domain area.
